We're closed for Christmas Day, but let's start Christmas early and celebrate together with a special meal.
Soup: Spiced roast pumpkin soup finished with cream and croutons.

Vice Chairman:- Rule 18.7 – nominees for an Executive Board Position must have served in the previous 7 years as an Ordinary Board Member here for a minimum of 24 months prior to nominating.
Ordinary Member:-Rule 18.6- nominees for an Ordinary Board Position must have been a continuous Full Bowls Member here for a minimum of 24 months prior to nominating.
NOTE 2: If the Secretary Manager is unavailable in the nomination return period then the on duty Assistant Manager or Supervisor in Charge may accept your forms on his behalf.

We're seeking a Head Coach for 2024/2025 bowls season
Expressions of interest are being sought for Head Coach for the 2024/25 season.
Traralgon Bowls Club is seeking a Head Coach to further develop our players and volunteer coaches.
Our Club is the Home of the Bowls Victorian Open and we are a founding franchisee of the VBL. We regularly host many other events throughout the year.
Our facilities include four greens, two Bent 007 Grass Greens and two synthetic greens- one of which is a fully enclosed world-standard green with a viewing platform and easy connectivity to livestreaming.
Our Club maintains 250+ bowls members annually consisting of a wide variety of bowlers from experienced to new, who are all keen to improve their own and our Club’s standing in bowls.
As our new Head Coach, your responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
Setting the annual club goals and strategies for Pennant Bowls teams within the Club priorities.
Train and develop the Club Coaches to be better coaches.
Set and implement the pre-season and in-season training programs for all pennant divisional teams.
Coach the skills of bowls including the roles in a team and suitable game plans.
Attending all training sessions.
Playing pennant for the Club for the entire 2024/25 weekend pennant season.
Active role in advising the Weekend and Midweek Pennant Selection Committees.
Other suitable duties and responsibilities which are within your training, capacity and competence.
The implementation of workplace policies and procedures as directed by management.
Through the application of recognised Occupational Health and Safety practices, provide a safe and healthy work environment.
To perform all duties consistent with the policies of the Club and statutory requirements.
Expectations of you are to:
Represent the Club in Weekend Pennant
Assist Selection Committees with their role and attend such meetings where and when necessary
Attend both our Season Opening Event and Club Presentation Night.
Participation in both district and or state events is highly commended representing our Club when you do. Reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs or part thereof will be considered.
The contract would commence on 31st August 2024 and continue until 31st March 2025 where any renewals or extensions will be negotiated at this time.
Remuneration will be negotiable as will contract hours and conditions based on the suitability and experience of the candidate’s experience.

VBL3 Qualifier Event Host
Traralgon Bowls Club is host of one of eight qualifying events for the vBL on Saturday 6 July.
Eight teams of up to six bowlers will form two sections to play from 9am on the day. Section winners will play off at the end of sectional play that day to determine the overall winner, who will then go on to play in the qualifying finals on Saturday 13 July at Dandenong Club.
Traralgon Bowls Club will also host the VBL3 Sectional Weekend #1 on August 16 and 17.

2024 Weekend Pennant Premiers - DIV 1 + 3
Going into the 2024 Weekend Pennant Grand Final with our DIV 1, 2 and 3 teams playing was incredible.
Saturday was forecast to be hot and Strzelecki Bowls Region declared an 11am start to try and beat the heat.
Division 3 Traralgon completed their game over Boolarra just as the heat topped 36 degrees. Brendan Smiles and his rink of Elaine Swan, Ron Baker and Rosie Lorenz had a 19 – 13 win over Steve Davey. Roger Davey and his rink of Ian Boyes, Robert Marsh and May Cross defeated Terry Parker 25 – 18 and Graham Cross and his rink of Gary Bassett, Bill Munday and Paddy Francis had a 19 – 18 win over Joel Anderson. Boolarra Jorma Takanen and his rink of Bruce Davey, Eddie Dudek and David Caldwell had a 30 – 17 win over Col Mayman.
When play was abandoned for the day at Newborough Traralgon held a handy fourteen point lead with 11 ends to play in Division 1. Play resumed Sunday morning with more hot weather and Traralgon managed to maintain their overnight lead to win the premiership. Michael Yacoub, player manager spoke of how relieved the team were to achieve a much deserved win and thanked Newborough for providing tough opposition and great greens to play on in such hot weather.
Michael Yacoub and his rink of Pat Trewin, Phil Mustoe and Jame McCausland led the way with a 22 – 9 win over Neale Houston and his rink of Fran Clark, Tony Knipping and Matt Leicester. Matt Ferrari and his rink of Nick Turnbull, Shane Chapman and Matt Eccles had an 18 – 15 win over Kevin Lovett and his rink of Barry Daley, Jo-Anne Michaels and Josh Kennedy. Newborough had winners in Scott Jones and his rink of Brian Carpenter, Alan Ryan and Paul Sherman who defeated Wayne Lynch and his rink of Michael Morgan, Ian Hilsley and Ian Kirkup 22 – 18 and Rod Lewis and his rink of Bob Goldie, Debbie Kennedy and Alan Grubb who defeated James Scullin and his rink of Matt Ogilvie, Ron Sherlock and Chris Ward 19 – 18 leaving Traralgon the winners by 11 shots.
In Division 2 Longwarry reversed their semi-final result over Traralgon (2) to book a place in Division 1 next season at the expense of Moe after holding a narrow lead when play was abandoned and returned on Sunday to complete the win. Ken Towt and his rink of Craig Cousin, Robert Proctor and Barry White had a victory over Austin Gapper and his rink of Dick Glossop, Al Hegarty and Dave Currie 22 – 13. John McCarthy and his rink of Ken White, Peter Lieshout and Glenn Pask had a 21 – 19 win over Abe Roeder and his rink of Clint Jones, Bill Francis and Maurie Sutcliffe. Trevor Kitchin and his rink of Hank Metselaar, Col Finger and Ian Peterson had a 17 – 16 win over Kevin Enguell and his rink of Tom Irvine, Bill Kirby and Kathy Smiles. Traralgon (2) had a winner with Cary Locke and his rink of Jedd Ladgrove, Ian Bloomfield and Trevor James defeating Jason Lieshout and his rink of Grant Pask, Jasmine O’Shea and Russell White 17 – 15. An incredible season, to back in the running after last season. Well done.
